Sat 4th Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust: Volunteer work day on Blacka Moor. Meet at Stony Ridge car park. 10am – 3pm
Blacka Moor is on the A625 out of Sheffield a few hundred yards on the left before Fox House.
Practical volunteer days at Blacka Moor are held on the first Saturday and third Thursday every month.
Tasks vary from footpath improvements and access work, to habitat and vegetation management. Gloves, tools, and refreshments are provided, but wear suitable outdoor clothes and boots, and bring some lunch and drinking water if you're able to come for the whole day. Twigs Way is a garden historian, writer and researcher fascinated by the past and intrigued by the role of flowers, gardens and landscape in art and culture of all kinds. Her talks and books reflect that endless curiosity with themes of symbolism and meaning, class and gender, art and literature. Twigs is an accredited Arts Society lecturer and co-director of the MA in Garden History at Buckingham University. Sheffield Ship Model Society: Sail at Millhouses Pond (Yachts, Fast Electric boats and Scale Models)
Millhouses Park Pond Start 9.00am. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, usually from about 9am and we tend to finish once the paddle boats start coming on. During the year we will be having yacht racing on occasional Thursday mornings. All are welcome to bring a boat down (it is a public pond).
Abbeydale Miniature Railway. The railway will start its new season on Sunday, 30th March 2025. Tickets will be £2 per ride.

Sheffield Millhouses Probus Club
Probus Clubs are for retired and part-retired men and women. We meet every Monday morning in the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Millhouses. The typical format of our meetings is to arrive from 10.00am for tea or coffee, with biscuits (provided free of charge) and informal chat amongst members, followed at 10.30 by any club business and the talk. Nether Edge Folk Club
The club meets every Wednesday at the Nether Edge Bowling Club on Nether Edge Road for a Singers / Players night between 8.00pm – 10.30pm.
Occasionally we have a national or international guest performer. On these nights we charge admission and only a few singers’ spots will be available. At singers’ nights we ask everybody to contribute £2 to help pay for guests.
